Guinea-Bissau was a country on the West African coast. Its capital was Bissau. Its national motto was "Unidade, Luta, Progresso" (Unity, Struggle, Progress). It was known in Fitz's time as Portuguese Guinea. Their chief exports were rice, coconuts, peanuts, fish and timber. The Vore built one of their colonies in the Tombali region of the country.
