The Gutenberg Bible was the first book in the western world printed with movable type, produced in Germany by Gutenberg himself in 1455. (PROSE: The Universal Databank [+]Loading...["The Universal Databank (reference book)"]) A very old edition of the Bible, several copies were obtained by one of Scaroth's twelve fragments, possibly Captain Tencredit. These were sold by Count Scarlioni in 1980 to finance the time experiments of Professor Fyodor Nikolai Kerensky.
