Harald Bluetooth

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Harald Bluetooth

Harald Bluetooth was a king from Scandinavia.

According to the Fifth Doctor, his name was derived from his black tooth. However, as "black" and "blue" were the same word in the old Norse languages, this led to confusion. The Doctor remarked that Bluetooth did not have an actual blue tooth, which he considered "silly". (AUDIO: The Destroyer of Delights [+]Loading...["The Destroyer of Delights (audio story)"])

The wireless technology Bluetooth was named after him, although this fact is not mentioned in DWU sources.
