Hurley (Kaleidoscope)

Air Commodore Hurley was in charge at RAF Weatherton and scrambled some Phantoms to attack an unidentified flying object over UK airspace. He ignored Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart orders to desist his attack on the object and order it to fire. He collected Waxman after he collided with the UFO, and then got Fairford to examine him. He didn't understand the threat of the nanobots. He wanted to explode the experimental weapons to destroy the nanobots. He had created the weapons from the salvaged alien technology. He had the Doctor arrested and charged with High Treason. He was killed by the KGB when they kidnapped the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith.
