He has been working in British television, mostly in Welsh roles, since the 1980s. He was a regular on Julia Smith's The District Nurse, BBC Wales' biggest English language programme of that decade. After numerous guest roles in the 1990s, he again landed a series in 1998, when he played Morgan on Heartburn Hotel. Throughout the 2000s he was again a jobbing character actor, appearing on shows like Foyle's War; The Last Detective with Peter Davison; and Midsomer Murders. At the start of the 2010s, he landed three recurring roles in quick succession: one on Ruth Jones' Gavin & Stacey; another on The Indian Doctor, with Ayesha Dharker; and a third on the Welsh language Alys.
