John Finney was a pilot during the Korean War.
When his aeroplane was shot down, all the other crewmembers were killed and he was seriously injured. He was found by the Second Doctor and Jamie. The Doctor fixed the most serious damage. Seeing that the Red Cross had found the plane, they left Finney, knowing he would be helped. (PROSE: Prelude Infinite Requiem)
