Leslie Waller

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
RealWorld.png

Leslie Waller was the comic artist on The Sea Monsters and the illustrator of the prose stories The Living Death and Diamond Dust in The Dalek Outer Space Book.

Waller has the unusual distinction of being the only artist other than Richard Jennings to have drawn the Golden Emperor for the Dalek annuals, although the text for the story refers to him only as the "Supreme Dalek".

Note[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Comic Book Database equates this artist with Leslie Waller, the co-writer of the first graphic novel.[1] However, the name is likely only a coincidence. The other Waller was a writer, primarily a novelist, and would have been living in New York at the time. While Art Sansom was also an American, his reprint material in The Dalek Outer Space Book was from no later than 1958.
