Maxilla repaired Worldshaper machines with Deedrun. While repairing the Worldshaper on Planet 14, they discovered the Voord had taken control of the machine. Maxilla managed to erect a time shield to protect himself from the Worldshaper, but Deedrun was aged to death by it.
Maxilla later encountered the Sixth Doctor, and told them of the Voord's plans. He guided the Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon to the Worldshaper, but was killed by the Voords. (COMIC: The World Shapers)
