You may be looking for the titular character.

Miss Marple was a book series by Agatha Christie (PROSE: The Time Lord's Story) about an "old lady detective" named Miss Marple. (TV: Eye of the Gorgon, The Unicorn and the Wasp)

Christie was unconsciously inspired to create the series by a meeting with Donna Noble and the Tenth Doctor in 1926, in which Donna made an anachronistic remark about Miss Marple, a character Christie hadn't created yet. Donna tried to get her to agree on joint copyright for the idea. (TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp)

The Eighth Doctor had a full set of Miss Marples, all of which were signed personally by Agatha Christie. He claimed never to have asked her to sign them. The Doctor told Tianna that when their current predicament was all over, he'd lend her the set—"Just lending, mind"; he wouldn't fully part with his signed copies. (PROSE: The Time Lord's Story)
