The Omsonii were a race of explorers.
One Omsonii was captured in Africa in 1833 by Captain Finlay. When he tried to bring it home by boat to Greenwich, the Eighth Doctor and Josie Day intervened and sent the Omsonii back to its ship in orbit. (COMIC: The Time Ball)
