Othello was a play by William Shakespeare.

When the Daleks came through the mirror of Mariah Learman and Professor Osric's time machine, Learman said "Perdition catch my soul" and "Chaos has come again". The Dalek pilot, who was actually a future version of Learman herself, identified the quotations as originating from Othello which led the human Learman to believe that the Daleks were Shakespearean scholars.
