In Pretoria, there was a statue of Paul Kruger.

At some point, Paul Kruger, president of the Transvaal Republic, posed for the statue. The Fifth Doctor and Vislor Turlough visited the site where the statue would later be erected. According to the Doctor, the sculptor had a difficult job in crafting the statue due to Kruger's own difficulty at posing.
