Percival "Percy" Lethbridge was the son of Major General Oliver Lethbridge and the grandson of John Lethbridge, the first Devonshire Lethbridge Baronet. He was a teacher at a private boy's school, but his relationship with one of the students made him the laughing stock of students and teachers alike. In 1890 he was therefore stood down, and he subsequently killed the student, which he claimed to have been an accident. (PROSE: As the Son Falls)
