Perry White was a fictional character who appeared in the Superman comic book series. He was the editor of the Daily Planet.
In an issue of the comic read by the Twelfth Doctor, Mrs Olsen had an appointment with Perry White to discuss her disapproval of Jimmy Olsen's career choices. While talking to Clark Kent, she noticed a picture on the wall of a young Perry White, reporting on the Brush Wars in southeast Asia, and declared "that man [was] Jimmy's father!" (TV: The Return of Doctor Mysterio)
