- Iris wears a tigerskin coat, and a tasteless, shapeless hat.
- Tom likes loose fitting jeans.
- Iris and Tom enjoy Black Sobranies and Bombay Sapphire.
- Tom is around twenty-three years old, and Iris' age about is about forty times that.
- Iris and Tom share similar tastes in music, enjoying the works of Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, Scott Walker, and the Stones.
