During the Second Doctor's trial, the image of a Quark was projected through a Thought Channel onto a screen as an example to the Court of the "evils" which he fought.
The first of five examples of evil cited, the Quarks were characterised by the Doctor as "deadly robot servants of the cruel Dominators" who "tried to enslave a peace loving race" (TV: The War Games [+]Loading...["The War Games (TV story)"]) on Dulkis, where the Doctor defeated them. (TV: The Dominators [+]Loading...["The Dominators (TV story)"], The War Games in Colour [+]Loading...["The War Games in Colour (TV story)"]) As the Doctor listed these evils, images of the species were seen on the screen; in one account these were generic images of the monsters in motion, (TV: The War Games [+]Loading...["The War Games (TV story)"]) but in another, the images included snapshots of the Doctor and his companions' encounters with them.
