Roja was a boy from the 18th century who joined Sabbath's crew.
Roja was recruited by Sabbath to serve as one of his agents, taking action to monitor the timeline and ensure that it remained on schedule according to Sabbath's vision. However, his "career" was cut short when his partner, Madame Jaxa, was killed by Jonah Cosgrove, with the Eighth Doctor subsequently informing Roja that he didn't really exist, claiming that his name was merely a pun on the non-existent "Roger the Cabin Boy" from Captain Pugwash. This argument distracted Roja by prompting him to protest his existence long enough for the Doctor to escape and Cosgrove to shoot Roja while he was trying to argue with the vanishing Doctor.
