Sarah Drummond

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Sarah Drummond was the elder sister of Esther Drummond.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Sarah was never able to cope and was always looked after by her younger sister, Esther, who believed that she was "not well" but also "not sick". (TV: Dead of Night) They lost their mother in 2003 (TV: The Categories of Life) and Sarah had two daughters, Melanie and Alice, between 2002 and 2004. Although the Drummonds all lived in Washington DC, Esther felt that she often had to put her family second to her job.

After the Miracle, Sarah believed that humanity had become godless after being infected by something in the air and read exaggerated reports of diseases online. She was visited by several people looking for Esther and boarded herself in her house with her daughters, refusing to let Esther in when she visited to say goodbye before leaving for Los Angeles and not allowing her daughters to leave the house. Child Protective Services attempted to work with Sarah after Esther reported her, but it was not considered safe and she was admitted for psychiatric care whilst Melanie and Alice were taken to Brayden Long Heights to await foster parents. (TV: Escape to LA)

Sarah was kept under psychiatric observation in the high security wing and claimed to have been told that Esther was the one who reported her, which she understood was for her own good. She held the Soulless's belief that humanity was without souls and volunteered online to become Category 1, also putting down her daughters' names. She explained this to Esther when she called and incorrectly assumed that she would understand her desire for her and her daughters to become Category 1s. (TV: End of the Road)

Following the end of the Miracle and Esther's death, Sarah attended her funeral with Melanie and Alice. (TV: The Blood Line) Gwen Cooper planned to give them a significant amount of money from one of Torchwood's safety deposit boxes to make their lives easier. (AUDIO: Army of One)
