- The character of Sheila is omitted entirely from Malcolm Hulke's novelisation of the story.
- Originally in episode three, the President discussed with Sheila about how she met General Williams on the peace delegation just before the Draconian Wars, and the origins of the tensions between Earth and Draconia. The scene was cut during editing for timing reasons, but Williams' backstory was reinstated for the novelisation. Luan Peters retained an on-screen credit despite no longer having any lines.
