Skaro had a South Pole.
During the 2400s Dalek invasion of the solar system, Skaro's South Pole and North Pole were the locations of the only holes in Skaro's force field. Realizing that the Daleks needed these holes in order to maintain their atmosphere, Vel Karneen ordered the South Pole gap to be closed, causing the Daleks to be defeated. (PROSE: Break-through!
