What was meant by the "space barrier" in Journey Back to Earth [+]Loading...["Journey Back to Earth (game)"] is unknown, although the fact that it gives the player who lands on the space an extra turn may imply that this was intended to mean going faster than the speed of light, in much the same way that going faster than the speed of sound means breaking the sound barrier.
