How is Charlie shooting at the Shadow Kin without dying? Did the gun have stun setting or something? :Pretty sure they only need the double-kill setting when the Shadow Kin is in linked-to-a-shadow form. These were just in the open, therefore vulnerable. But when they're linked to a shadow, in order for them to die, the shadow's owner needs to die as well, as they explained during the flashback. I assume if they don't the dying Shadow Kin will just take their host's life force or something, which might've been why the king took April's heart because I don't think she was hit by the displacement gun, just the king, and Quill did mention he was linked to her shadow. And because I want to keep this relevant, should not someone add this to the article? - BlackWidower ☎ 17:31, October 26, 2016 (UTC) | |||
:I don't know exactly how that works, but I think it works more than one way. Remember, Quill said the gun was set to shoot both ways, which may mean that it can be set to more than that. Also look at the rays of energy, set to both ways it shot red rays, set to one way it shot blue rays. Remember too that it also worked as a scanner. --DCLM ☎ 20:52, October 23, 2016 (UTC) | :I don't know exactly how that works, but I think it works more than one way. ::Actually, when Miss Quill examines the gun after the flashback to the death of that student, it kind of looks like she's changing the setting back. The scanner's the same device? They looked completely separate to me. 21:13, October 23, 2016 (UTC) | ::Actually, when Miss Quill examines the gun after the flashback to the death of that student, it kind of looks like she's changing the setting back.
