At first planning to hang them, he was persuaded by Solicitor [[Grey (The Highlanders)|Grey]] to hand them over to him.

After taking him prisoner, [[Polly Wright]] and [[Kirsty McLaren]] forced him to help rescue their friends. Later, Ffinch arrested Grey for illegal [[Slavery|slave trading]].
