'''Mr Rossiter''' was a member of the [[Vinvocci]], an alien race that invented the [[Immortality Gate]]. He was quite timmid claiming "[He'd] never hit anyone before!". He had been sent to [[Earth]] to retrieve the Gate along with [[Addams]]. They used [[Shimmer]]s as disguises in order to blend in with the [[Human]]s. Rossiter found out that [[Joshua Naismith]], a rich business man, had acquired the Gate after the fall of [[Torchwood 3|Torchwood]], in order to provide his [[Abigail Naismith|daughter]] with [[immortality]]. When [[Tenth Doctor|the Doctor]] infiltrated Naismith's mansion, the Vinocci's cover was compromised, via the Doctor's [[sonic screwdriver]]. He helped the Doctor escape and then using Addams' ship he along with [[Wilfren Mott|Wilf]], destroyed several missiles aimed at them by [[the Master]].
