You seemed to be saying that ''First Draft'' may or may not take place in the Spiral Politic in a literal sense, but is meant to connect to other FP works on a literary/thematic level, and this is reason enough to consider it to be in "the FPU" (and thus "the DWU") even if it's not ''in continuity with'' the DWU in the way of a story that's genuinely meant to describe events which putatively occurred on the same Earth walked by Cousin Justine and Michael Brookhaven. +I'm quite confident both of those are ''intended'' to be in the Spiral Politic. They just, in the hypothetical for Erasing Sherlock, lack any reference to elements of it. I used the term "literary universe" simply to make sure that continuity contradictions weren't going to be an issue here, because First Draft is weird enough that it actually might need that sort of caveat. It's solely about continuity vs intent. Not about the Spiral Politic vs some other (potentially not even fictional) universe.
