Fully known as the '''International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crrafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada''', the IATSE has locals covering every part of the US and Canada.

A specific local, the '''Motion Picture Studio Production Technicians I.A.T.S.E. Local 891''' out of [[Vancouver]], [[Canada]], received on-screen, credited thanks for its assistance in making [[Doctor Who (1996)|the 1996 tele-movie]]. As of [[2011]], it is the only [[union]] local to ever be credited on a ''[[Doctor Who]]'' adventure — even though British unions are known to have played a long and active role in the production of the programme.  

The 891st has jurisdiction over the motion picture technicians — but not the camera operators — in British Columbia and the Yukon, meaning that it has become, since about the [[1990s]], one of the busiest locals in the whole union.
