St Oscar's University

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

St Oscar's University, also known as the University of St Oscar's, (PROSE: The Mary-Sue Extrusion) Dellah University (PROSE: Ghost Devices) or the University of Dellah, (PROSE: Where Angels Fear) was located on the planet Dellah. It was one of the most prestigious centres of learning in the Milky Way.

It was set up by the Sultan of Tashwari to remove the planet Dellah from the theatre of a war which threatened that sector of the galaxy. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!)

It had a campus with nine colleges that was built on a chain of hilly islands in Dellah's northern hemisphere. Travel between islands was provided by undersea tunnels. (PROSE: Dry Pilgrimage) St Oscar's University had its own spaceport on the northernmost island. The spaceport disrupted weather patterns on Dellah, dramatically increasing precipitation. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!, The Mary-Sue Extrusion) It also had a sea port on the southernmost island, where it kept a dedicated ship, the Lady of Lorelei. (PROSE: Dry Pilgrimage)

Colleges[[edit] | [edit source]]

St Oscar's University had nine colleges.

The Garland College Hall of Residence was a large, barrel-shaped, brick building. It was nicknamed, inevitably, "the Barrel". The Rector's Rooms were located here; Bernice Summerfield, who held the Edward Watkinson chair of Archaeology, was also Rector of Garland College. (PROSE: The Dying Days) The Garland College pub was much beloved by Benny, was called the Witch and Whirlwind. (PROSE: Dragon's Wrath) The Shakespeare Building was located at Garland College and was sponsored by Irving Braxiatel. It housed the Department of Theatrology. (PROSE: Dragons' Wrath)

Collins College also had a college pub, which Bernice sometimes frequented.[source needed]

Pierce College was located on the smallest island, and tended to house more mature students. The Department of Literature of the Milky Way was located in this college. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!, Dragons' Wrath)

The Department of Advanced Research was built as an extension of the Practan College, and was involved in several secretive manipulations. (PROSE: Mean Streets, Tears of the Oracle)

Other colleges included Rigg College, Collins College and Goodyear College.[source needed]

This section's awfully stubby.

Please help by adding some more information.
