A stallholder owned a stall in Pompeii in the year 79. Donna Noble, wondering how the TARDIS telepathy field would translate Latin to a Roman, went up to him and said "Veni, vidi, vici", to which he replied, "I no speak Celtic". He later sold the Doctor's TARDIS, which was parked near his stall, as a piece of "modern art" to Lobus Caecilius for 15 sesterce. Confronted by the Doctor, he told him how to find Caecilius.
He was present when Mount Vesuvius erupted, where, according to the Doctor, there were no survivors. (TV: The Fires of Pompeii)
