In Spearhead from Space, two journalists are credited. One, played by Allan Mitchell, is Michael Wagstaffe. The second, played by Prentis Hancock, is credited as 2nd Reporter, but is briefly referred to in dialogue as "Jimmy." Do you think this could be James Stevens? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 121.216.62.109 (talk).
- Better yet, I have found definite evidence of an appearance by Stevens. His "unknown cameo" in Spearhead from Space is now famous, but less known is his appearance in The Mind of Evil, as quoted in the book:
Around me the audience of observers got up and began leaving the room, whispering excitedly between themselves. Noticing the Doctor and his companion were advancing towards Kettering and the governor, I hung about just within earshot, doing my best to look knowledgeable as I examined the Keller Machine close-up.
This seems to be noticeable evidence of Stevens. Although I do not have a good copy of The Mind of Evil on me right now, it is on YouTube, []. At 7:30, all of the background characters leave, except for one, who walks around the machine, almost definitely Stevens. As another piece of evidence;
At this point the governor moved to stop the disagreement becoming more heated. Noting my presence in the chamber, he suggested they continue their discussion later.
At 8:10 in the above video, the lone straggler is noticed by the governor, making this undoubtfully Stevens. As soon as I can, I shall add a high-quality image to this page. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 16:42, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
