Joe's birthday as 23 November is an internet myth, according to himself. I once interviewed him for a 50th anniversary fanzine called "Celebrate Regenerate" (which is detailed on here) in which I got to ask him the question, and he said it "would be lovely if true, is in fact an internet myth. I've tried to remove it from Wikipedia but it keeps getting put back on." [email interview, pg194 of Celebrate Regenerate. original email no longer available, as it was 2012/2013].
