"The Girl" is a name given in the end credits of a couple of stories. It was used by the production crew to obscure deliberately the actual name of the character and avoid spoiling a surprise for the audience. The name "The Girl" has no narrative presence; it is purely a contrivance for the end credits. Characters credited in this way include:
- Judith Winters, in the end credits of TV: Remembrance of the Daleks
- Charlotte Lux, in the end credits of both TV: Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead

A few stories have also credited "Little Girl", but this name has only been used descriptively. That is, they name characters who are factually little girls, but who have no name in the narrative concerned.
