The Greatest Show in the Galaxy was the eighth adventure in The Thirteenth Doctor Sourcebook, adapted from the TV story of the same name.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The plot follows the television story, with variance depending on how it is played. If players do not have a TARDIS, they can come to the planet via its teleport landing port.

Further Adventures[[edit] | [edit source]]

In "Fear of Clowns", the adventurers take a small boy afraid of clowns to the circus. However, the clowns somehow know that the adventurers previously destroyed the Gods of Ragnarok on Segonax, and they want revenge.

In "Agent's Fee", Mags and Kingpin needs the adventurers' help in getting a magician to join their new circus.

In "Your Greatest Fan", the adventurers have drawn the attention of a fanboy. Due to the fanboy being related to a powerful noble who can track anyone across space and time, they are forced to take him on an adventure with them and he proves to be an obstacle.

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Considering that the Doctor has claimed to have faced the Gods of Ragnarok throughout time, and that he has a piece of a sword from a gladiator who died entertaining them, he has likely encountered them in ancient Rome.
  • There is a temple beneath the Circus tent that leads to the Dark Circus.
  • When the Gods of Ragnarok patronise a certain type of entertainment, it often corresponds with a historical period of popularity. As such, beyond the age of gladiators, they were likely involved from the shadows with the heyday of theatre and the great days of Hollywood.
