The Sneetches and Other Stories

A book about Sneetches was one of the several picture books which the Eighth Doctor kept aboard the TARDIS.

During the eight-year-old William Shakespeare's stay aboard the TARDIS, there was little of a literary nature to distract him due to his limited understanding of modern English except for the Doctor's small collection of picture books, which he read and re-read. The Doctor eventually discovered a game called Peter Pan Pop-O-Matic Frustration which he played with Shakespeare and Charlotte Pollard to keep everyone entertained while the efforts to return Shakespeare to his native time continued. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Sneetches and Other Stories is unnamed in Apocrypha Bipedium [+]Loading...["Apocrypha Bipedium (short story)"] but is clearly identifiable from the stated details. As suggested by the title it was an anthology, with only the first of the four stories featuring the Sneetches. All of the picture books referenced as being read by Shakespeare were written by Dr Seuss.
