A giant toyshop was once visited by the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield.
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
Among the toys the Doctor and his companions found in the toyshop were a ten-foot-tall jack-in-the-box, which startled Jamie; dolls which were six feet tall, a toy train big enough to ride in, an enormous spinning top, a box of toy soldiers, a metal construction set, a giant teddy bear, which frightened Victoria; and a chemistry set.
However, their favourite toy was a life-sized doll's house. When the Doctor went upstairs to explore, he found a room containing a replica of the doll's house they were in. He was somehow able to enter it, and inside he found another replica of the doll's house. As the Doctor entered house after house, he heard strange noises and it seemed that the dolls' faces were subtly altered, becoming more life-like. The last house the Doctor entered was filled with a strange light and he realised he was in an intra-dimensional flux. Frightened, he retraced his steps, returned to Jamie and Victoria, and departed the toyshop. However, he was left with a sense of regret that he could never understand. (PROSE: The Celestial Toyshop)
