The Ursine Brood (PROSE: The V Cwejes) were a religious and (by necessity) cannibalistic society of Cwejen who lived in a "Cwejopolis" in the timeless wasteland of Ursa. Chris Cwej conceptualized them as a "Faction Christopher" to the "Little House of Cwejes".
The origins of the Brood lied in when, either by chance or Enemy design, a lone Cwej piloting a 70-Form timeship crashed on an isolated planet in an empty far future era. The damage to the timeship interacted with the unique nature of Chris Cwej's timeline to create a crude version of Cwejen creation, with every attempted dematerialisation rending the fabric of time to create three basic Cwejen. Stranded on this planet for an unimaginable length, the original Cwej eventually resorted to founding the Ursine Brood. The original Cwej kept on regenerating, far outliving his intended lifespan, until eventually he became Cwej-Ursa.
Chris Cwej eventually became stranded in the body of a member of the Ursine Brood for an extended period of time. (PROSE: The Ursine Brood) This left him highly traumatised. (PROSE: The Trauma Deception)
