Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
- a list of people whose job it is to help you
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

The Doctor image[[edit source]]
Hi, before changing such a prominent image on a main article like that it is nessecary for you to understand the policies in use on this wiki. See Tardis:Help for a full list.
For instance the image you uploaded was made up of promotional images, only screenshots or in-universe images can be used on an in-universe article.
Also you should look at the talk page of prominent pages like The Doctor as there may be a discussion in progress which explains the decision or the process that was taken to arrive at the image see Talk:The Doctor for a discussion concerning the image and why a comprehensive image is not the best path forward for use in the infobox. Thanks. --Tangerineduel / talk 15:23, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
Brax and K9[[edit source]]
The problem with this event is that it is never actually depicted, and Brax is a known liar. I'm not quite sure whether it makes a great deal of sense to put it in all those articles you mentioned — I kind of think it only belongs in the article K9 — but wherever you put it, you need to point out that Brax is an unreliable source. Thus:
- According to Braxiatel, Bernice Summerfield gave him a K9 model at some point. (AUDIO: Weapon of Choice) However, Brax was an almost habitual liar, and no definitive account of this act of generosity was known to exist.
Something like that.

Ben 10: Professor Paradox[[edit source]]
It's already covered to the extent allowed at Doctor Who pastiches#Television. This subject is not deserving of its own page, nor of any significant expansion at Doctor Who pastiches.

Blocked[[edit source]]
You are hereby banned for your upload of two images from episodes that had not aired at the time of upload. This is a violation of T:SPOIL. Your ban is permanent because one of the images came from an upcoming anniversary special. You were warned, but you did not heed the warnings posted here and here in such a way that you would have had to have ignored prominent alerts urging you to go read those messages. Moreover, your first edit on this wiki was about a year and a half ago, giving you adequate time to have read T:SPOIL, especially given that this very page contains yet another explanation that "spoilers aren't cool".

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]
As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.
This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!
We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.
2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
Promotional images[[edit source]]
Hi! What is the purpose of the promotional images you uploaded to the wiki? As noted earlier on your talk page, you can't use them for in universe articles because they aren't screenshots, and you can't use them on any other pages because they are not widescreen. Thanks.
