Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • On 6 July 2018, Big Finish announced a fanart competition for entrants to design a back cover for this issue.[1][2]
    • Submissions could be artwork, drawings, or pictures, but not photo manipulations, with the subject being entrants' favourite Big Finish character or characters, moments, or stories, though approval would have be given by the character's originator and the BBC. It was open from 2nd July to 23:59 on 31 July 2018.[1]
  • The winner, Sophie Cowdrey, and the runner-up, Simon Brett, were announced on 11 August 2018.[3][4][5] It was stated Cowdrey's artwork would be used as the front cover, not the back as originally said.[3][4] Brett's artwork was then used for the back cover.
  • Cowdrey later tweeted on 28 October 2018 that Big Finish had mailed her a print of her cover.[6]
  • Big Finish shared Brett's runner-up entry along with other runner-ups in this issue. They also shared the same entries on 11 September 2018 on their Twitter.[7]
    • The other entries Big Finish featured in this issue and their September tweet were by: Adam Rowland; Brendon Wright; Connor Adkins; Mark Hadlett; Harrie An (Lufe); Mike McGee; Oliver Brooks; Raine Szramski; Alan Peacock; and Kat Lunroe.[8]
  • Big Finish again shared more entries on their Twitter, and made a Facebook photo album of entries, on 19 December 2018.[9][10]
    • The tweet again included Brendon Wright's, Mike McGee's, and Raine Szramski's art, but with the addition of twitter user 'Art By Steve's' art also.[11][12]
    • The Facebook photo album does not name entrants, but some are identifiable thanks to those featured in this issue, Big Finish's tweets, and the entrants' tweets. Those identifiable are: Raine Szramski;[13] 'Art By Steve';[11][12] Mike McGee; Brendon Wright; Simon Brett;[14] Connor Adkins;[15][16] Alan Peacock; and Sophie Cowdrey.[3][4][5][17][18][19]
