Though the reference in The Vault of Secrets is not explained, in the real world Will Smith is an actor known for playing Agent J in the Men in Black film series, based on the comics The Men in Black by Lowell Cunningham. The Men in Black in The Vault of Secrets and the comic characters are both inspired by the conspiracy theory of the same name.
