- The Wolfhound call sign appears to be a reference to the UNIT soldiers being called "dogs", as well as being a complement to the Greyhound signs. Like its name indicates, wolfhound is a term that refers to a type of hound that has been specifically bred for the purpose of hunting wolves, one notable such breed being the Irish Wolfhound.
