Punchellion

The Punchellions are small creatures that often go on galactic tours entertaining crowds from a puppet booth. While hypnotising their audience (of usually children), they collect up mental energies using their Harvestor Pods to power the star drive engines of their entertainment cruisers. An overload of the engines is enough to rip apart the fabric of the universe and create a rift in time and space. One such hole was created in the village of Himbleton on Earth which let through all manner of anti-matter variforms (that included space alligators, clowns and babies in nappies). This hole was closed by the Doctor manipulating the cruiser to fly into the rift and implode. (DWA: The Punch & Judy Trap)
