Rumours

  • It will include a shuttlebus crash (as shown in trailer).
  • This episode focuses on the Doctor who is scared by the knocking on the wall; possibly the sound of drums that The Master heard. A possible reference to the woman who took the Master's ring at the end of "Last of the Time Lords".
  • The Doctor will NOT disappear at the end of Midnight as the Doctor and Donna end up on the planet "Shan Shen" at the beginning of Turn Left.
  • It will be one of the "Darkness Episodes", which is a theory that there will be a long stretch of episodes from Silence in the Library to the end of the series, all focusing on darkness. It is also viewed by some as the Series Arc. This was highlighted in a "Reaction Video" on YouTube, called "Rosianna's Reaction". This is also drawn from the "The stars are going out"(Wilf) and "It's coming, the darkness"(Rose) quotes on the mid-season trailer.
  • In the episode trailer, Sky Silvestry was seen to be backing against a wall shouting "It's coming for me", suggesting that the episode's monster is telepathic or she has previously encountered the monster, recognised the knocking or is being hunted by it.
