Do the battles such as the Battle of Canary Wharf count as part of the Last Great Time War or not? Quoth the Bad Wolf during the Battle of Satellite Five, "the Time War is over" (or something like that). ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 19:31, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I think you just answered your own question, there. so far, the Doctor has consisently referred to the war in the past tense anyway. I guess Bad Wolf meant that symbolically.
Many think that it does. The Time War will officially end when one race has either been wiped out or surrendered (which is the case for most wars, the war only finishes when one side accomplishes what they fighting for ,in the Time War that is for one of the sides to be wiped out, for WW2, the Nazis (spelling?) were fighting to take over countries and for power, while the allies, whom they were fighting, was to defend themselves and beat the Nazis, or surrenders.)---Si http://images.wikia.com/tardis/images/e/e4/Si_HTL_Seal_Leader.PNG 15:42, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, I'd say it was over, as the Time Lords and the Daleks aren't fighting in any large-scale way (mainly cos there aren't enough left on either side any more!).
But, seriously, the Battle of Canary Wharf was between Daleks and Cybermen, not Daleks and Time Lords. The British Army fought in the Second World War, but just because the same army has fought regularly since then it doesn't mean the Second World War is still going on. If any clash between the Doctor and the Daleks counts as part of the Time War, then the war includes the events of a large chunk of the original series! I would say the war proper occurred entirely off-screen and that the Bad Wolf quoth figurative-like. --Gai-jin 15:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
In Utopia, the Doctor stated that "the last of the Time War was life" in reference to PotW, although that may also have been figurative or just an agreement with what Rose said. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 16:45, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
