Howling:The Dream Lord AKA The Lord of Dreams

I can't help feeling that the dream lord may be in someway connected to Sandman[1] AKA The Lord of Dreams by.... Neil Gaimen
Lots of angels, myths, etc that tie in with current themesRUMyMommy 13:28, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Also, compare with BFA: The Sandman[2]

- That was my first thought as well. I was imagining that the Dream Lord would be there to recapture a "rogue dream" that had gotten hold of Amy, and he would appear to be a bad guy at first (because Amy wouldn't want to lose her dream), but either the Doctor or Rory would figure out that he was actually a good guy and then have to convince Amy.
- However, given what we've seen in the previews, this seems very unlikely. The Dream Lord seems to be the one who's trapped them in a dream, which they can only escape by dying in the dream (Life on Mars, anyone?), and they don't know which is which. And apparently the title "Dream Lord" is just something he comes up with to deal with the Doctor: "You're a Time Lord, let's call me a Dream Lord." --Falcotron 00:20, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
From what I've read about Amy's choice so far, it sounds a lot like another DC comics story: For the man who has everything[3]
Where Superman is tricked into living out his life on Krypton. (in fact, the story is similar to Turn Left). Incidentally, this story was by Alan Moore- I really wish he'd write a DW story!RUMyMommy 06:36, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
Is it a crossover with SJA character the Nightmare Man who will be in series 4? 86.26.137.154 07:02, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Alan Moore would be great--good call! --Falcotron 07:35, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
