Madge Cranleigh

Lady Madge Cranleigh was the mother of George and Charles Cranleigh. He loved her sons dearly and did not want bad publicity for her family. When George was brought back from his last expedition horribly scarred and insane, she had him confined to the upper floors of the house under the guardianship of the Indian who had brought him back home. She was willing to let the Doctor take the blame from George's murders, but he was found when George kidnapped Nyssa instead of Ann. (DW: Black Orchid)
