do we need this?[[edit source]]

most of the information here comes from Memory Alpha. we might as well just delete this article and include a link to there instead. --Stardizzy2 20:46, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

The information is generally related to Doctor Who and the "relationship"(?) between the two series. On a side note, isn't Memory Alpha a wikia based wiki? While it might not be advisable, it would be interesting to know if it's possible to redirect to a whole different wikia wiki? --Raukodraug 22:05, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
yep. Wikia hosts Memory Alpha and Wikicode for some Wikis allows a direct link. how, I don't know. --Stardizzy2 23:43, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Nonetheless, this is the Tardis Wikia, not Memory Alpha. If it pertains to Doctor Who, then it belongs here. Incidentally a fair amount of the information in this article was added by me, and I never go to Memory Alpha. Since Wikia material, like that of Wikipedia, can be used anyplace, there's nothing wrong if material is ported over. Ideally it should be rewritten so it's not identical, of course, but there's no time limit on that. This material was originally part of the Star Trek article. Not sure why it was spun off in the first place. I'd support reintegrating it back into the original article. In answer to "do we need this" - the answer is yes we do because it's important to examine the connection between DW and the other big franchises, if connections exist. Ditto Harry Potter and Star Wars. 23skidoo 02:37, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Erm, what happened to the Next Generation references to doctor who? I know that alot of the information is similar, but that doesn't mean it should just be deleted should it. Just my opinion, but I think the last few changes to this, and the other star trek page took out a lot of information that should still be here.

As to why the articles were separated. Basically it was getting a little bit large, as separate articles we're more easily able to separate out stuff. When it was one article everything out-of-universe was under a 'Behind the scenes' section header, so the subsequent section headers were below that. THe article was becoming a little hard to manage and sort out the information as one, hence the split. --Tangerineduel 12:45, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

David Soul?[[edit source]]

I took his name off the crossover actors list. I know Soul -- better known for Starsky and Hutch -- appeared in a TOS episode, but unless he did some Big Finish work I'm unaware of, I can't find an indication of him ever doing Doctor Who. Of course feel free to correct me if it's true. 23skidoo 02:37, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Simon Pegg[[edit source]]

The mention of Simon Pegg having the biggest involvement in both franchise seems to me a bit biased, does anyone think that as well?, Bigshowbower 06:05, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Cast connections[[edit source]]

So this is more construction than info, but can the list of crossover actors be made to be alphabetical by surname? Geek Mythology talk to me 19:14, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Ron Thornton[[edit source]]

Visual effects producer Ron Thornton says here, "My career in television began by building physical models for the BBC's 'Doctor Who.'" He wasn't ever credited onscreen, though. Should we mention him here? —Josiah Rowe talk to me 03:08, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

Chase Masterson[[edit source]]

The actors list needs to have the DS9 actress added per Big Finish announcing she'd recorded a story with Sylvester McCoy. I'd add the name myself but there's something funky with the list that requires an article to exist first, so I'll let others do it. 70.72.223.215talk to me 01:29, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
