Trinity Wells, possibly known as Mal Loup, was an American newsreader. She reported several alien encounters for an American news network.These invasions and incidents include:

• The 2006 Slitheen crisis in London. (DW: Aliens of London/World War III)
• The Sycorax ship flying over London. (DW: The Christmas Invasion)
• Mr Saxon anouncing first contact with aliens. (DW: The Sound of Drums)
• The Sun freezing causing all lights switching off. (SJA: Revenge of the Slitheen)
• The gas emitted from the cars during the Sontaran attack. (DW: The Poison Sky)
• The Adipose attack on the United States in Donna's parralel world. (DW: Turn Left)

Naming controversy

This reporter's name is the subject of some ambiguity. Her name has only been seen in a chyron twice. In one account of the Slitheen infiltration of the British government, her name was seen as "Mal Loup", a vague French translation for Bad Wolf. In Donna's World, a chyron cited her as "Trinity Wells". It is unclear which name is accurate. "Mal Loup" may merely have been the Bad Wolf entity's manipulation of the chyron. Equally, however, "Trinity Wells" may be a name which only applies in Donna's World.

To date, the only broadcast episode in which she has been credited onscreen was Turn Left.
