Aberystwyth University
Founded in 1872, Aberystwyth University (known as the University Of Wales, Aberystwyth until 2007) was the first university established in Wales in the town of Aberystwyth, in Cardigan Bay on the west coast.
The university hosted a lecture entitled "Black Holes and the Uncertainty Principle". (TW: Random Shoes)

The Department of Film, Theatre & Television Studies at the university also has strong links with BBC Wales.
The university hosts "Ffresh", the annual 'Moving Image Festival of Wales'. In attendance at the 2007 festival, both Richard Stokes and Cath Tregenna gave a talk and Q&A session about their respective roles as producer and writer for Torchwood.
Scenes set at the university were filmed in the Cardiff Museum due to budget and time constraints.
