The Mayans were a Native American human ethnic group native to
Mexico. They had cutting edge technology, sufficient to challenge that of the Aztecs.
History
Early in Mayan history, the Monarch and other Urbankans abducted a princess named Villagra and several other Mayans on their second trip to Earth. They brought them back to Urbanka and converted them to androids. In the many years that followed, the Mayan androids had to entertain the Urbankans as long as they were kept prisoner. However, Villagra vowed never to speak until she was reunited with her people. (DW: Four to Doomsday)
