Reunion of Fear (comic story)
Opening narration box
The Doctor finally discovers what happened to the honoured guests from Platform One.
Summary
The TARDIS is following the lectra energy leak of a power-boosted transmat beam, which occurred every time survivors of Platform One have disappeared, including most recently Mr and Mrs Pacoo. A TARDIS intruder arrives, identifies Rose and transmats her away to join the others. The Doctor, whose identity was not confirmed because of his regeneration, is not taken.
Rose awakes to find herself imprisoned with the other survivors of Platform One. They are faced by a vengeful Elth of Balhoon. He believes his brother, Moxx of Balhoon, was abandoned to die alone in agony when the Platform One shields failed. In accordance with Statute 7 of the Hanamacat Pel Jadrabone Convention, Elth feels he may take his revenge on the survivors who let the Moxx die.
The Doctor arrives undetected by the Elth's bioslaves, defeats them and releases the prisoners with his sonic screwdriver. His plans thwarted, the Elth breaks down in tears, mourning the loss of his brother. The Doctor asks the others to go easy on him. To Rose's surprise, the former prisoners rally round the Elth with offers to make a film of the Moxx's life, grow a garden in his memory and offers of sponsorship and free travel for visitors. The mystery solved, the Doctor and Rose quietly slip away in the TARDIS.

Notes
- Supporting the series of collectable Doctor Who trading cards, the magazine carried a regular four page, individually titled comic strip of the Tenth Doctor’s adventures.
- The artwork and colours were bold and bright, reflecting the tone of the magazine and, as did Doctor Who Adventures, reflected the appeal to readers younger than those catered to by Doctor Who Magazine.
References
- The Battles in Time comic strip sought to reinforce the association of its Doctor with the one seen on screen by utilising 'props' from the TV series: blue/brown suit, intelligent-looking glasses, sonic screwdriver and psychic paper.
