Prometheus was a Chronovore. He mated with the Eternal known as Elektra, and produced the Chronovore/Eternal hyrid known as Kronos, which was forbidden by the Ancient Covenant. When this was discovered, the Guardians of Time punished Prometheus by erasing it from existence. The child he had helped produced, however, was spared. (PDA: The Quantum Archangel)
Behind the scenes
- In Greek Mythology, Prometheus was a titan who was the brother of Kronos and was responsible for giving the dangerous element, fire, to the humans against the orders of Zeus. It is speculated that the Chronovore and the one in the Greek myth are both based on the same thing.
